Description
The Phonic digital desk is aimed at the consumer market but I have to say the features this desk has for the money is quite impressive , and at that price this will prove to be very popular i think, not everyone can afford the £4500 price tag of an LS9 the head amps are OK on this and it is in fact more intuitive than the LS9. again the EQ and FX are reasonably good but they are not as good as the LS9. but the LS9 is twice the price and is from a manufacturer which has been designing and building digital desks for more years than I can count.
The major selling feature to this desk is the color touch screen which means no clicking through menus like the LS9 everything is at your fingertips. It also has the option of a fire-wire and usb out for recording although this is an extra cost of around £150.
In conclusion the Phonic summit is a very good desk for the money and keenly priced I can’t see this going on any hire company’s stock list but it will be a hit with the end user and project studios. or bands providing there own PA systems
