Phonic Digital Mixer is an advance digital mixer with the usability of an analog console. On the surface, the Phonic Digital Mixer is a 16 input channel mixer with a set of XLR and 1/4″ inputs per channel. The unit also has flexible output possibilities through 1/4″ multi outputs, and XLR main and control room outputs. But the Phonic Digital Mixer offers so much more than mere inputs and outputs! The Phonic Digital Mixer packs an entire studio worth of gear into a small, compact system. Delay, EQ and dynamics are found on all input and output channels, so there is no need to waste money on external processors. Digital AES/EBU inputs and outputs are included, which allow for expanding the scope of your system by connecting it to external digital consoles. With built-in EQs, dynamics, delays, digital effects, signal generator, and meter bridge, the Phonic Digital Mixer is not your run-of-the-mill mixer. It is powerful enough to suit multiple applications — as a live sound reinforcement mixer, a stage and in ear monitor mixer or for producing professional studio recordings.
Check out the video which will run you through the features of this desk.

The Phonic digital desk is aimed at the consumer market but I have to say the features this desk has for the money is quite impressive , and at that price this will prove to be very popular i think, not everyone can afford the £4500 price tag of an LS9 the head amps are OK on this and it is in fact more intuitive than the LS9. again the EQ and FX are reasonably good but they are not as good as the LS9. but  the LS9 is twice the price  and is from a manufacturer which has been designing and building digital desks for more years than I can count.

The major selling feature to this desk is the color touch screen which means no clicking through menus like the LS9 everything is at your fingertips. It also has the option of a fire-wire and usb out for recording although this is an extra cost of around £150.

In conclusion the Phonic summit is a very good desk for the money and keenly priced I can’t see this going on any hire company’s stock list but it will be a hit with the end user and project studios. or bands providing there own PA systems
